As a woman I believe in the unquestionable worth of women, in every society. I also believe for a woman to be able to contribute all the gifts she has, she must have some since of worth and security. A girl should be educated, equally with boys. She must not have to live in fear of abuse slavery or early marriage. Only when this happens is any country or culture able to truly pull its self out of poverty. Hence the girls and women of Nepal are our first priority.

Our approach is one of simplicity. We find girls at risk, take them out of their hazardous situation and put them into a home environment. Educate them and help them to acquire a since of self worth, and confidence. We believe that in the years ahead Nepal will be compelled to include women in the management of the country, but if there are no women prepared to take leadership roles, it will take much longer for equality to ever happen. So, we are taking the approach of training the leaders of tomorrow.

We also believe that no one knows or understands the needs of rural people like the people themselves. So we go door to door, village to village and ask; "What one thing would help you the most?" The answer is almost always water. Sometimes it is a cow, a pig or a few chickens. So we are attempting to bring the individual needs to the attention of families. Individuals, and companies, allowing them to personally impact a family, and to know where their money went and how it helped. Connecting people in this way Is a small but real step to world peace
