Location

The country's northern border is created by the Hymilayan Mountain range, which includes Mt. Everest, the highest mountain in the world. 2003 was the 50th anniverisary of the first succerssful climb of the mountain by Sir Edmond Hillary

Geography Note: Nepal is landlocked strategically between Tibet (China) and India, and contains eight of world's 10 highest peaks, including Mount Everest - the world's tallest, which is located on Nepal's border with Tibet.
