I sat with the mother of one of our girls and I asked the interrupter to ask her, if I could give you one wish, and it could be anything in the world, what would it be? She answered directly; itt would be water, I can go for two or three days without food, but it is very hard without water. I walk for 40 minutes to get water and then all I can get is what I can carry. I asked the approximate cost and was told about $200 to $250. My only possible response was “Make it so”. This was the beginning of our Miracle of Water project.

We had the well dug, 80 ft. by hand, and a hand pump was installed. Unfortunately she died right after the well was completed. She has lived too hard of a life, with too little food. Her heart just stopped. The well has been a blessing for her whole village and is used in memory of the WOMAN who owned the well.
